Born in Malta, Claire Debono graduated with an MMus from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Claire has also sung in several recitals for the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Unsuk Chin’s Cantatrix Sopranica for the Settembre Musica Festival (Milan and Turin) with The London Sinfonietta, Israel in Egypt with Emmanuelle Haim at The Edinburgh Festival, Mozart Mass in C Minor with the Orchestre de Paris (Paavo Järvi), Mahler 2nd Symphony with Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège, a concert of Rameau Grands Motets with Emanuelle Haim, Handel’s Messiah with The King’s Consort and tours of Couperin’s Leçons de ténèbres with The King’s Consort and Le Poème Harmonique.

Recent and future performances include Despina Cosi fan tutte as well as Madame Riss in Les Femmes Vengées by Philidor at the Kennedy Centre in Washington DC, Lincoln Centre and Versailles and Rameau’s Les Fêtes de l’Hymen et de l’Amour with Opéra Lafayette, a Monteverdi programme with Emmanuelle Haim on tour, a Mozart recital with Le Cercle de l’Harmonie, Israel in Egypt with the Ancient Academy of Music, concerts with les Musiciens de saint Julien in France in France and Poland, La Petite Messe Solennelle in France with The Navigators and the role of La Chanteuse in Mr de Pourceaugnac in Les Bouffes du Nord, Paris and on tour in France and Europe with Les Arts Florissants.
